Scholarship Opportunities

The Regional Music Project engages a variety of community partners in our work. We hope that you will join us in this important work.

We welcome University of West Georgia graduate students to apply for the Joseph Johnson Fellowship, an endowed graduate assistantship focusing on the Regional Music project.  Most of our Joseph Johnson Fellows are graduate students in our Public History program. Click here for more information on the UWG Public History Program.

The new JB Old Time Music Program provides support to musicians interested in learning more about traditional Georgia string band music.  Grants are available on a rolling basis.

We encourage regional and statewide organizations to contact us with partnership ideas.
